People From All Walks Of Life Will Enjoy Electric Scooters

by Jerry Benson, under shopping

As kids, many of us enjoyed the thrill of electric scooters. Whether it was your brother’s Vespa or grandma’s old Zap, you were sure to have fun. Scooters are still fun to ride today, but they’ve become more. Scooters can mean the difference between being late to work or they can mean that grandma has to walk the whole store carrying around whatever she needs to buy.

In cities like New York and Hong Kong electric scooters are the best way to travel. Battery powered scooters are perfect for short trips. Most people don’t have very far to go. Gasoline prices are once again getting out of hand after a short respite, and taxis might as well be airplanes with fares these days.

Electric scooters are efficient. The cost of running an electric scooter is around 25% lower then the cost of gasoline scooters. Scooters for older people tend to stay less than five or ten miles per hour. Another advantage is they can be driven indoors. The small amount of energy used makes for multiple uses between charges. The disability scooter as it’s referred to, usually has three wheels and a basket for carrying goods.

Although they come in electric models as well, the moped is very different. This type of electric scooter is popular with the younger crowd and delivery people in big cities. They run at high speeds with the fastest moving more than 60 miles per hour. Mopeds come equipped with two wheels and usually have a step through body, while disability scooters have three wheels and a baggage carry add-on. Both are considered electric scooters.

Electric vehicles are going to be the future. Along with solar power they present safer more efficient alternatives to using gasoline. They don’t cause as much noise pollution or damage to the ozone. The cost of maintaining an electric scooter is next to nothing. When considering an electric method of transportation, keep in mind the high cost of electric cars.

Find cheap electric scooters.

Nerf N-Strike Vulcan EBF-25 Review

by Jerry Benson, under shopping

Are you a big fan of Nerf guns? Then you will be interested in the Nerf Vulcan. In terms of size, and looks, I think it beats the other current Nerf guns without question. If you are a Nerf collector or just another person who loves to have a war with foam darts, the Vulcan may be something you would want to play with. There are several aspects about it that make it stand out from the rest. Continue reading to find out more.

Because this is a hefty sized toy gun, it features a tripod so that you can set it up and use it like a turret. It can shoot rapidly in multi-shot mode, or can shoot one shot at a time in single shot mode. Feeding it the darts is an ammunition belt that can be placed in an ammunition box. The ammunition box can be detached or left on. When you want to hold the gun yourself, there is a carry handle in the front.

Being an adult Nerf fan, when I saw this in the store, I was instantly drawn to it. This thing looks amazing. Just the thought of using it got me feeling like a kid again. I bought it and tried it out. When you get it all set up, you feel pretty cool shooting it. You can shoot shot after shot fairly fast. The tripod is cool for when you want to set it up somewhere and not move it. It makes a great turret. Because it is electric, you don’t have to pump it. You can be like Rambo and while carrying it, mow down your opponents with a lot of foam darts.

Like most products, nothing is without flaws. There is at least one complaint that I have about it. When I was running with it and shooting, it jammed on me. This threw off my groove and made me stop my path of destruction and have to unjam the sucker. It works best when stationary. So on the tripod it works good, and when you are holding it, it works best to just keep it still and not jostle it around, otherwise a dart can get jammed. This Nerf gun is a little on the heavy side, so I hear many younger kids complain about it’s weight.

If Hasbro does make another model like this again, hopefully they make it so it doesn’t jam as much. Overall though, I think it is worth getting!
