Toyota Hybrid Sports Car
Every loyal customer to Toyota and the people behind the company itself are looking forward to 2008. Why? Because that is the slated release for the much-awaited Toyota hybrid sports car dubbed the Volta. Toyota has always been known to set itself apart from all other car manufacturers, releasing some of the most outrageous designs that seem to grow onto society once the cars establish themselves as bestsellers.
Japan Goes Italian
The new concept hybrid sports car from Toyota will definitely be a head turner. It seems an elite group of designers chosen by Toyota within their ranks have chosen to give the first hybrid sports car a little Italian flair. Pictures of the concept car have emerged from the company itself and the first thing that may come to mind is the Lamborghini Diablo; only the Volta is eco-friendly.
Toyota is set on proving that hybrid technology can also be applied to high-performance vehicles with the release of the Toyota Volta. After all, it is rumored to go from 0-60 in 4 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph; not as fast as the Diablo or any Ferrari but the important thing is how much gas this vehicle doesn’t use.
The Name Game
The 2008 new Toyota Volta will be paying homage to Alessandro Volta, the man who came up with the electric battery in 1800. It is only very apt considering that this vehicle does run on a type of battery. The Volta runs a V6 engine and there’s an electric motor on each axle.
Toyota Volta motor will be used to run several things like the computer responsible for the movement of the wheels, activation of brakes, etc. This is basically something known as drive by wire, a technology that is fitted into modern fighter jets, so you can imagine how much time in design was spent on this near-future release. This technology also allows for an awkward feature that can have the passengers reposition the steering wheel and pedals in front of them.
Hybrid Car Economy
Toyota aims to have the Volta out and running by year 2008 – two centuries after the invention of the battery for which the car is named after. It is expected to have a tank that holds only 13.7 gallons that will allow it to go 435 miles when filled up. Plus, if 408 horsepower isn’t enough, you will just have to weight for later versions of the Volta because this is the top speed estimated for the initial release.
French Toyota fanatics can expect the Toyota Hybrid to be out by 2008. However, Germany might be happy to know that the car will be for sale there by December of 2007. Experts are speculating that prices for the Toyota hybrid sports car will range from $72,000 to $165,000 in the US market once it hits North American shores.
Ready or not as a market, Toyota itself is ready to prove that hybrid technology does belong in the automobile industry and will suit any purpose and application.

What Affects a Vacuum Cleaner Consumer Rating
It’s not always very easy to shop for a good vacuum type and brand. If you want to buy a vacuum, it would be a good idea to look for vacuum cleaner consumer ratings. Consumers who have had some experience using different vacuum brands before can help you pick the right vacuum. Here are some considerations that consumers usually look into when they rate a particular vacuum type.
Uprights
Consumers would of course first be interested in the features of an upright vacuum. This kind of vacuum is expected to have a single piece structure that is easy to store. An upright vacuum is also usually expected to have a cheaper price than other types of vacuums. The price of one unit would usually only cost around $5 to $400. A good unit therefore would be rated according to these expected features.
Canister Vacuum
The first factor that consumers would consider for this type of vacuum is its ability to work on floors that are bare since canisters are supposed to be good at this function. Buyers would also often look at the number and kinds of accessories that go along with a canister type. In recent years, canister types have also typically been rated according to how well they can keep the noise down. Canister vacuums are supposed to emit only very minimal noise.
Central Vacuums
It is difficult to find a lot of reliable consumer ratings for this kind of vacuum. Central vacuums are installed into a home structure during construction or during a separate installation procedure. It would probably take some expert skill and knowledge to be able to give a good consumer ratings for central vacuums. At the most, consumers can rate the services of the installation company and probably the product’s attachments and suction capabilities. The price too would be something to consider. Installation fees would be around an average of $750 while a reasonably priced unit would cost around $500 to $1200.
Handheld Vacuum
Handhelds by nature are supposed to be very handy to carry around. Portability therefore is the main feature to consider when coming up with a consumer rating for this product. Aside from portability, ease of storage and the kinds of accessories are also things to consider. A consumer would also often be interested in the battery capacity of a handheld vacuum. This is because this kind of vacuum is usually used in the car where there is no electric current source. A handheld that checks well in all of these necessary features would get a good consumer rating as long as it falls within the reasonable price range of $20 to $100.
This is how a vacuum cleaner consumer rating is arrived at. Again, it seems that they are rated in this order: Price, structure, accessories included, and how powerful the vacuums are. Most consumer ratings can be fair but there are some that tend to be outrageous and sometimes exaggerated, especially if a consumer is not particularly fond of a certain brand. Ultimately, it is a good vacuum cleaner consumer rating that will help future buyers in their decision to make the best vacuum purchase.
